Is all this a repeat of the past?

I look at this, and perhaps philosophically conclude- that possibly, this human race we are all part of.........it may well be a repeat of a far too successful race (maybe quite similar to us, maybe not?)- that way back, buggered the whole place up maybe eons ago?

I grew up reading the X-Men back in the 60's - when it was a total flop!
Spidey was the big Marvel comic then- how times have changed!
